After a traumatic event during his residency, young medical student James Heyman (Namir Smallwood) transfers to a rural hospital for a fresh start. Dr. Harrison (actor and actress Michael Potts) suggests that James is struggling and has difficulty connecting with patients. The demons of Jamesโ past begin to haunt him when he is brought to the case of a young asthmatic patient (Sidney Flanigan, Never Ever) who is experiencing mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to slip as his disturbing nightmares, anxiety-induced speculations, and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the medical world. Director Alex Thompson assembles a cast of veteran character actors in this humanistic and unconventional genre revision, following the story of St. Frances โ and the precursor to GHOSTLIGHT.
